* A Times Herald Record article this week about the problems at the Health Department confirms suspicions that the Palens are incompetent, but not criminals. It appears that the Palen's asked permit applicants to resubmit checks after the initial checks were lost or misplaced. Perhaps once the original checks were found, the Palen's the placed the extra checks in the safe (why? who the hell knows!). Look for the Mighty Heiny and Eliot (aka "The Obamligated") Auerbach to milk this issue for all it's worth. The article also noted that the state Health Department issued audits critical of the Health Department's permitting system in 2007 and 2008. Who was County Administrator during this time? None other than Michael P (Pfluffer). Hein.* BESERK ALERT! Those in the know are claiming disgraced Minority Leader Glenn Noonan "drunk dialed" county Conservative Chairman Ed Gaddy and made several profanity-laced threats. Noonan's few remaining friends are keeping sharp objects out of his reach.
* More bad news for Noonan - Manuela Mihailescu, the Town of Rochester Republican Noonan tried to recruit to run for the Legislature, apparently resigned her Town Board seat once news of her bankruptcy filing was made public. Mihailescu listed her official residence as being outside the Town of Rochester. Noonan recruited Mihailescu in an effort to foil the cross-endorsement reached in Legislative District 1 (Wawarsing-Rochester). Noonan's efforts blew up in his face and led to him not being endorsed for re-election by Republicans in his own district. Noonan can sure pick 'em!
* Homophobe Frank Dart's house gets egged. Dart implied that the incident may be related to his calling attention to Mike Madsen's racy Craiglist posting. What a P***y! Frank-Take your egging like a man! There is no crying in politics! This incident begs the age old question - what came first - the homophobe or the egg?

Noonan is the one claiming that the District One deal brough him down, when it actuality it was members of the Conservative Party (Tantillo and Hayes) who riled up Shawangunk Republican Committee Chair Roger Rascoe. Tantillo, Hayes and Rascoe knew nothing of Noonan's efforts to create chaos in District 1. People in the know - know that Noonan's games go was back to Alfonso and Sinagra. Remember the business cards and letterhead that Sinagra had printed up.... hmmm... sort of reminds me of another candidate who made up Noonan Quigley bumper stickers prematurely.
The Republicans in Shawangunk and Gardiner could give two hoots what happens in Wawarsing.
Not only are they keeping sharp objects away from him, some are SERIOUSLY concerned about his stability. He fits the profile of someone who could go postal. It's not really funny. The drinking and blogging and drunk dialing are not a good sign of what is on his mind when he drinks.
With crime on the rise in Kingston, where does Jim Noble stand on this. We never seem to hear a peep out of him. Some kid on the city payroll flips off a taxpayer, lame ideas about giving the stadium back to the school. How does he feel about the real issues in Kingston,TAXES. Will he support closing one fire house to save on overtime, or will he cave in on doom and gloom the firemen willtell you. COME ON JIM SPEAK OUT SO THAT WE KNOW YOU ARE STILL HERE.
Dart did this for political gain and it back fired on him. Him and Jeanette both have said this is there last term. So why even run? Lame ducks are dangerous and will hurt us if given the chance. Vote Madsen and lets get some new ideas for the county. Mike has done an excellent job in Kingsotn and just because he's not a yes man for SOTTILE/NOBLE they targeted him just like they did Landi a few years ago. The democrats in Kingsotn are in total disarray and are ripe for the picking. Take control of the council this year and the front office in 2011. Hoffay, Reynalds, Whitlock, senor anr easy targets because they have failed us in the balance of power. They allow the Mayor to run amuk and cost us millions in law suits. The Wilber avenue sewer break lawsuit will be going to court next year (remember that) they put it off for 6 years and now its time to pay the piper. Who can blame the residents that lost there homes because the city neglected the sewers. They should be well compensated for thier loss.
re: Palen and the Health Department...
It was reported in the Daily Freeman that one of the checks that was found in the safe was one written by Lew Kirshner, for his "side" catering business.
If Kirshner was the "accounting" man for the County why didn't he say anything to Palen or to the County Administrators [present and past] about his check not being cashed? Seems like Kirshner has known about this issue for a very long time.

The Wilber ave. sewer break the city is now appealing the no prior written notice rule they always fall back on. It has been rejected twice before but Jimbo just keeps right on wasting taxpayer money trying to defend his inability to do his job. Legal costs alone are probably more expensive then the lawsuit itself.
The sexual harrassment suit is the same way. We have done nothig wrong the Mayor keeps saying. We'll let a judge decide if we were wrong for not training our people and then firing one of the women that complained. Moving another one to the treatment plant. I wonder what Mike Schup is going to do when he finds out his staff is in City hall and his office is on E. Then that would free up Jon to play hide the salami and look at porn on his computer with Trisha Kortright all day long in the alledgely illegal apartment over the barn/store. Ooops, I forgot, gold digger Trisha isn't interested because she found out Jon had no money. Strike that - it's not that he has no money, he is in debt for about one million dollars. OK, maybe Manuela should stay and run for County Leg, that way if she wins she can use the $10,000 salary to pay down the million dollars they owe. That way if she gets elected, she can give Mike Hein some pointers on how to run the County into bankruptcy faster than he already is. That will clear the way for Noonan to run for County Executive. On second thought, let's just send Noonan straight to Bellevue.

Why would one bank give Manuela so many credit cards? Fool them once, maybe - but she has several from the same bank. What idiots are running those banks! And she didn't just report that her primary residence is outside the Town of Rochester - She reported- in federal documents - that her primary residence is outside Ulster County! No one imagined Noonan took the time or cared to look into her before he endorsed her - he just wanted to be a P in the A to Mario - but what were the voters in the Town of Rochester doing with her on their town board to begin with. Don't people have to file financial disclosures? Was she getting a STAR exemption in both places? Was she voting in both places?

1) He accuses Rob Parete of stuff. Noonan has it out for this guy and thinks Rob Parete has it out for him.... to a paranoid degree
2) Look for writing that is from an intoxicated person. It's not hard to recognize. Also it's usually written after 11pm
3) and last - anything that defends Noonan is probably Noonan

Hi I am wondering if the checks at the health dept were not cashed. Maybe the people who wrote them were called or communicated with just so that if they wanted too to void that check or come pick it up. I am glad to see that rumors are now accepted as truth here. Why don't we talk about Mario and his squeeze at party headquarters? I heard someone walked in and caught the married couple ( to different spouses of course)engaged in relations. Pictures were taken via cell phone and plenty of people have seen them. Can these people testify in divorce proceedings?
it seems that there is a wealth of targets in the county but one that seems to be flying under the radar is the sherrif's department particularly in this venue. (well, not exactly as there are a few lawsuits that hae landed in the local rags).
one question is who among senior department officals got the (discreet) boot and who among the loyalists (and outside true party faithful) are in new and lucrative positions ?
Weeks have gone by,no criminal charges,no headlines, how much will this cost the county when the palens sue the county. The people were never at risk. Inspections were done ,by the same people that worked to get the restaurants permit paperwork straightened out.All while the new director is on a three week vacation......nothing is to good for management, especially a past union president. And Mike Hein is screaming at employees because he might miss a scheduled press release, great public health work boys!
